BLS Heartcode® is a convenient, self-directed online learning program designed to teach you the lifesaving skills of Basic Life Support (BLS). You can complete the program at your own pace, making it a great option for busy schedules. This program is designed for healthcare professionals who complete the AHA BLS HeartCode Online. These are scheduled on an individual basis, and you must send us your completed Heart Code Certificate before scheduling.

Service Description

You must send us your completed Heart Code Certificate before being scheduled.

This class is for those who complete the AHA BLS HeartCode Online and need their skills evaluated to receive their certification card.

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. 

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infant

The ACLS Heartcode® program offers a flexible, self-directed online learning solution for advanced life support skills. This program allows you to master critical techniques for managing cardiac arrest emergencies at your own pace.

Complete the Online Course: Access your ACLS Heartcode® course materials by visiting https://elearning.heart.org/course/438 (the American Heart Association's eLearning platform). Follow the instructions to complete the online modules, case studies, and assessments.

This program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Advanced Cardiac Life Support training for their clinical duties. The Skills Sessions are scheduled on an INDIVIDUAL BASIS and you must send us your completed AHA ACLS HeartCode Online Class Certificate before you can schedule. This class is for those who need their skills evaluated to receive their certification card.

For those who are proficient in performing BLS and ACLS skills, reading and interpreting ECGs, understanding ACLS pharmacology; and who regularly lead or participate in emergency assessment and treatment of prearrest, arrest, or postarrest patients. For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response
